Soccer

 Welcome to Silverspring Community Soccer!

Our Silverspring Community Soccer program is comprised of approximately a total of 500+ registrants annually. The program is intended to foster the development of our children with and around our community.  The viability of the program is strongly linked to volunteerism – those individuals that coach, assistant coach or help out with our teams.  Without them, our program would cease to exist.  Therefore, we would encourage each of you to help us out with our soccer program!

OUTDOOR SEASON REGISTRATION

Community Soccer “On-Line” Registration will begin the week of February 26th – March 1st. If you wish to register “In Person” this will only be available to you on Thursday March 1st at the Silverspring School Library from 6:30-7:30pm.   Please note that the “In-Person” Registration will still require you to register your child using one of the provided computers. For In-Person registration, payments can only be made by Cash or Credit Card.  As of Feb 1st, 2012, cheques are no longer accepted.

LATE REGISTRATION WILL BE ACCEPTED ONLY AS SPACE PERMITS FROM MARCH 5th TO MARCH 7th. NO REGISTRATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER THIS DATE. A late registration fee of 50% of your child’s soccer fee will be charged.  If you have any questions please feel free to contact any of your soccer coordinators or refer to the soccer guidelines.

Currently there is 1 Soccer Coordinator position that needs to be filled. If no one volunteers for this position, there is a good chance that there will be NO community soccer for the 2013 Indoor Season. This program is strictly run by volunteers & so if there are no coaches or coordinators, there is no soccer in our community. We would encourage volunteers to coach or manage a team.  An incentive will be provided for those individuals that decide to volunteer and are committed to building sport in our community.   Free coaches clinics are also provided for those that are looking for some guidance.

We also want to extend a thank-you to all coaches and assistants that had volunteered their time this season.  Your continued support is what makes our community a better place!

Looking forward to another great season of sport! - Your Soccer Coordinators

FEEDBACK FORM

The Silverspring Community Association strives to provide our children with the best, most appropriate level of coaching possible. Our program is community-based and the primary focus is building skills while enjoying game play. In order to do that, we ask for the help of parents/guardians and players to provide feedback on the performance of our programming. If you could spare us a few minutes to answer the following questions tremendously helpful to us in evaluating the current and future needs of our community. Click here for the form and it can be emailed to plbrown@shaw.ca  or returned in a sealed envelope to your Soccer Team Manager.
